SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Windows:

  • Windows 2000, XP
  • 128 MB or more of installed RAM minimum (512 MB of installed RAM is recommended)
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Sound card with speakers or headphones

 

MAC:

  • Intel or PowerPC-based chipset
  • Mac OSX 10.2 and higher (Classic mode will not be supported)
  • 256 MB or more of installed RAM (512 MB of installed RAM is recommended)
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Sound card with speakers of headphones

Windows:

1.       Double-Click My Computer

2.       Double-Click CD-Rom drive (usually D:) Grade X

3.       Double-Click Math Adventures GradeX.exe

 

Macintosh:

1.      Double-Click CD-Rom Grade X icon

2.      Double-Click Math Adventures Grade X.osx

GENERAL ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS:

 

Issue:  Will this program run on Windows Vista and Intel Mac?

 

Solution:  Cursory testing has been performed on the above platforms and no problems were found.

 

Our customer base uses a wide variety of operating systems and applications and our software must be developed to be used on some lower end systems to meet our customer needs. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that our software will always work as expected as new operating systems and other applications are developed. We encourage you to give our products a 'test drive' on any new system you plan to implement. If you are not satisfied with the performance of our products, we will do our best to deliver a compatible product to you in a timely manner or refund your money.

Issue:  The games play very slowly

 

Solution: This may be caused by a lack of available system resources.

 

Windows:

  • Lower color settings to 256 colors.

1.    On your desktop or on the Start menu, right-click the game or other program that you want to run in 256 colors, and then click Properties.

2.    Click the Compatibility tab,

3.    Select the Run in 256 colors check box.

  • Remove items from the Startup folder and quit any other running applications

1.    Click on Start, Programs, Startup

2.    Delete items in startup folder

  • Check hard drive space.  Free up space if necessary.

 

Mac:

  • Turn on Virtual Memory or increase the amount of Virtual Memory to be used.
  • Lower color settings to 256 colors.
