Issue: Will this program run on Windows XP, 2000,
NT, ME, and Macintosh OS X? |
||||
|
|
||||
|
Solution: Cursory testing performed on Windows XP,
2000, NT 4.0, and ME machines have not revealed any issues. This program is not Macintosh compatible. "Our customer base
uses a wide variety of operating systems and applications, and our software
must be developed to be used on some lower end systems to meet customer needs. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that
our software will always work as expected as new operating systems and other
applications are developed. We
encourage you to give our products a 'test drive' on any new system you plan
to implement. If you are not satisfied
with the performance of our product, we will do our best to deliver a
compatible product to you in a timely manner or refund your money." |

Please Note: Windows XP does
not offer a true 256 colors

this: 1.
Click on
Start, Programs, Glencoe. 2.
Click once on
the Program executable to highlight
it. (Do not start the program.) 3.
RIGHT click on the program icon. 4.
Left click on
Properties. 5.
Click on the Compatibility
tab. 6.
Choose Windows
95. 7.
Click Apply
and OK. Now try the program. Note: Some XP machines do not have a Compatibility tab under Properties.
You can still take advantage of 256 colors by:

Issue: |

Solution: The Class version is
designed for use with a projector in a classroom environment. The questions can only be answered with
remote response units, and correctly answered questions are provided as a
percent (%). There are two different
types of systems to do this. For
information regarding the remote response units, contact EInstruction (formerly HyperGraphics):
The Lab version is
designed to be used by an individual student on a lab computer or installed
on a personal computer. Answers are
recorded using a mouse or the keyboard, and the screen tells whether answers
are correct. Note: The lab software can be used in a
classroom. The information is the same;
however, answers to the questions are displayed differently. |

Solution: The customer is using the Class version which requires remote
response units. These units can be
obtained from EInstruction. Note: The Lab version allows answers to be entered
on the keyboard or with a mouse. |
