installed on the computer. Our
customer base uses a wide variety of operating systems and applications and
our software must be developed to be used on some lower end systems to meet
our customer needs. Because of this,
we cannot guarantee that our software will always work as expected as new

Solution: ***This is for Mac OS 9x or earlier
only**** This
is optional but may increase the speed of the ITE and decrease out-of-memory
errors experienced on certain computers: 1.
Make sure the Finder is active, click Apple Menu in the
upper left-hand area of the screen, and select About this Computer. 2.
Note the amount indicated for Largest Unused Block. 3.
Then locate the icon for Acrobat Reader on your hard
drive. Click once on it. 4.
Select File…Get Info
> Memory (OS8.6-9x) or File…Get Info (OS8.5 and lower) in the
menu. 5.
OS8.6 and higher only:
In the Information dialog box, click on the pull down SHOW menu and
select Memory. 6.
In the Preferred
Memory field, enter an amount that is approximately ten percent less than
the available memory noted in step #2.
If you plan on running other programs while Acrobat Reader is open,
decrease the amount to accommodate the other programs’ memory
allocations. Enter this amount in the Preferred Size box. Keep in mind that to run other programs
concurrently with Acrobat Reader, you may have to open them first. |
