Issue:   Error "Sorry, date is invalid. Only Monday through Friday dates are acceptable, and the entered date may have fallen on a weekend" when you type a 2-digit year

Solution:  The program was not designed to accept a 2-digit year.  You must enter a 4-digit year.

Issue:  The text jumps when opening "Practice and Apply" or "Assess" from the Resource List

Solution:  This is a known problem and there is no solution.

Issue:  The second word on line two does not show up on the calendar.

Solution:  Type a sentence all the way to the end of the first line before you type on the second line. Then the second line can be seen on the calendar.

Issue:   While in a calendar, if a new or existing file is opened, it opens at the same point as the old calendar.

Solution:  Example:  if you were at ‘week 10’ when you left the first calendar, the calendar you open will also be at ‘week 10.’  The programmer was unable to fix this issue. You can manually move to the correct point. The next time the program is started, the program will open to the last saved location on the calendar.

Issue:  "Script Error: Index out of range" after keying the date and calendar name - ILP COURSE 1 & 2 Texas and Course 2 National only.

Solution:  With the error are 2 buttons Stop and Continue.  If you click Stop the program closes.

If you click 'Continue', the program resumes running without error.

Issue:  How can I organize My Resources to suit my needs?

Solution:  Resources cannot be moved while in the program, but here is a workaround:

1.       With the program closed, open the My Resources folder on the hard drive in the Interactive Lesson Planner 1.5 folder.

2.       Create the folders and subfolders you want.

3.       When you are in the program, add resources the way you normally do.

4.       Close the program, go back to the My Resources folder, and move the newly created resources to the desired folder.

5.       When you go to the My Resources tab in the ILP, the folders you created will be available.

Issue:  Can I create a calendar that will accommodate both a standard and block schedules?

Solution:  Yes.  Create one calendar, selecting either the Standard or Block Schedule option. From there, populate the calendar with the data to be covered, and then move the info to accommodate the class schedule they will be following. It may be done with one calendar, but requires manually placing info on the states it is required, enter additional days if necessary to accommodate.

Issue:  When I attempt to click and drag an item under the Resource List, it highlights but it will not drag over to the date.

Solution:  This happens on version 1.1 of this program.

When you click and drag an item from the Resource List, it highlights but doesn’t move to the calendar.  Instead click and hold the item in the Resource List until it changes to an icon (looks like a page), then drag and drop it to the calendar.

Issue:  I have both the ILP 1.1 and Acrobat 6 installed on my computer, but the PDF files don’t open.

Solution: Acrobat 6 is not compatible with ILP 1.1. Uninstall Acrobat 6 and use (reinstall if needed)  Acrobat 3, 4, or 5 in order to view the PDFs.

Issue:  I installed the program, but no resources are listed.

Solution:  If you don’t restart the computer after installing, the resources will not show up.  Restart the computer and restart ILP.  This should display the resources.  If this does not help, uninstall and reinstall the program.  Restart the computer as soon as the reinstall is done.

Windows

Issue:   Error "Out of Disk Space.  There is not enough disk space to print this job” when attempting to print

Solution: The ILP COURSE 3 Texas is the only ILP known to have this problem.  This typically happens under Teach when double-clicking the *Transparency 11-3B Pdf file.  Go to File and then print. There is no solution, it will not print, but you can continue using the program.

Issue:  "There was an error while loading the plug-in AFILL32API.  Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name" when trying to open files with Acrobat Reader

Solution:  This is caused by installing Acrobat Reader 3.02 over an earlier version, without uninstalling.

To resolve it:  from Program Files - locate and remove AFORM32.API (not AFILL32.API).

Note:  When this error occurs, pressing OK will bypass the error and bring up the Adobe files.

Issue:   I want to re-use a system-created calendar, but how do I change the start date?

Solution:  The default calendar that appears for ILP v1.1 is programmed to start on a specific date (Aug. 28, 2000).  Information can be changed/rearranged within this default calendar, but actual days (the first week, for instance) cannot be deleted.

To use the entire Resource List as it appears in the Default calendar, just start on a different day.

1.        Create a new calendar starting on your desired day.

2.        Select the first line of the Resource List (the title) and drag it to the start day on the calendar.

3.        The Resource List will populate the days and appear just like the Default calendar.

4.        The daily course information will be the same, and adjustments can then be made.

5.        Save the calendar.
