ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS: |
Issue: How can I edit Lesson Plans
and/or PowerPoint Slides? NOTE: Not all of these CD-ROMs include both of
these. |
Solution: The 2 ways to do this are: NOTE: When saving the file, save it
to the hard drive or a floppy disk because you are opening the files from the
CD. 1.
Insert the CD-ROM. If the autorun is enabled the splash screen
will appear, otherwise browse to the CD-ROM and click autorun.exe. 2.
On the splash screen, in the lower right corner, click Next. 3.
Click on Lesson Plan or PowerPoint. 4.
Choose a chapter. 5.
Once the file opens click on File and Open for Editing. 6.
Edit the file then Save it to the hard drive or floppy disk. The second way to do this is: 1.
Open the full version (not the viewer) of either Microsoft Word (for
the Lesson Plans) or PowerPoint (for the PowerPoint Slides). 2.
Browse to the CD. 3.
Open the folder that contains the file. 4.
Double-click the file to open it. 5.
Edit the document then Save it. NOTE: Only text can be edited on PowerPoint slides, images cannot be edited. |

Issue: Does the CD need to be
inserted to run the program? |
Solution: Yes for the Lesson Plans and PowerPoint files, because they are
located on the CD-ROM. If you copy
these files to the hard drive and then open them from within Word or
PowerPoint, then you don’t need to the CD. Once ExamView is installed you don’t need the CD to run it. |
Issue: Is this networkable? |
Solution: No, the program was not designed for network use. For ExamView issues and questions, see the ExamView
help file. |
Issue: The
menu button isn’t working (for Introduction to Technology CD-ROM only) |
Solution: According to the editor, the slide that lists the section names has a
Menu button and it shouldn’t. Clicking
the Menu button on that slide has no effect because the slide is
the menu. |
Issue: Does this run on Windows
NT, 2000 and Windows XP? |
Solution: According to the developer

applications and our software must be developed to be used on some lower end
systems to meet our customer needs. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that
our software will always work as expected as new operating systems and other
